Yma Sumac's iconic Sun God bracelet and some images of her wearing it including on a 2022

postage stamp from Peru.

This is from 1943 or 44 and below are 1952 and 1948. The purple gown she is wearing below is now owned by Dita Von Teese. The earrings are one of the few things Damon is holding back from the estate for himself. The sun pendant is one of her most photographed pieces. Both the pendant and my Sun God bracelet can be seen in the Smithsonian Channel's show Frock Stars. Of all Yma's personal effects and jewelry Damon sold over the years, I feel very lucky to have this very special bracelet. The images above are shared from Damon's collection.

The Inca Sun God appears in my 1993 painting, on the cover of her Legend of the Sun Virgin album, and even in her personal stationary pictured above. Drag legend Jackie Beat also now owns many Sumac pieces.
